ISHR Early Career Investigator (ECI) European Section group

The ISHR European Section Early Career Investigator (ISHR-ES ECI) group started up in 2017 with the aim of gathering together the young researchers in the ISHR community, both scientifically and socially. ECIs are defined as researchers within eight years of their terminal degree (whether that is PhD or MD). Allowance will be made for career breaks such as maternity leave or illness.

The ECI European Section group organises ECI symposiums and social events for young researchers in connection to the ISHR European Section Meetings and together with the ECI International at the ISHR World Congresses. These symposiums and social events are excellent opportunities for students and postdocs to present and discuss their data, exchange views and ideas and make connections with scientists at their own level.

Throughout the year, the ECI European Section group will accompany you by organising events such as webinar series on career development, mentorship, networking, etc.

Finally, ECIs are also eligible to have their submitted abstracts considered for an ECI award at ISHR-ES meetings. Please see these guidelines, and details on the meeting website.
