The monetary prize is $1,500 for the winner of the Richard J Bing Award and $1,000 for three runner-up Finalists. This high-profile recognition will be presented at the XXV ISHR World Congress in Nara, Japan, May 11-14, 2025.
The Winner and Finalists will be announced on the ISHR-International website and in Heart News and Views (the newsletter of ISHR-International).
Full details of this award, including a list of previous recipients and relevant guidelines, is provided on the ISHR website. The guidelines should be consulted before preparing any application.
Early Career Investigator (ECI) Visiting Research Fellowships for Laboratory Visits
The ISHR International Council will sponsor Visiting Research Fellowships for Early Career Investigators (ECI) to undertake training in new techniques/methods at local Section institutes within Japan, the host region of the World Congress in 2025.
Fellowships will be awarded to successful applicants prior to the World Congress. Funding is specifically for subsidizing travel and accommodation costs related to visiting the nominated lab to train in a new technique. Visiting Research Fellowships will be awarded at the same rate as the stratified 2025 Travel Grants depending on the home Section of the applicant (US$500 for JPN, CHI, US$1000 for AUS, IND, SEA, and US$1500 for EUR, NAS and LAT). Lab visits should occur immediately before or after the Congress and the expected duration is at least one week.
A list of potential host laboratories is available on the ISHR website. Please note that this list is not comprehensive; all laboratories in the Japanese Section that satisfy the eligibility and selection criteria are potential host laboratories.
Deadline for applications: Monday 16th December, 2024.
All relevant information and application forms can be found on the ISHR website
